Teriyaki Beef Skewers

  • Total Time: PT40M
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Grilled beef skewers coated in a sticky, savory teriyaki glaze, perfect for summer barbecues or casual gatherings. Easy to prepare with a quick marinade that infuses the meat with balanced sweet and salty flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
  2. Step 2: Place the beef cubes in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes, up to 2 hours.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Step 4: Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked skewers.
  5. Step 5: Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes per side, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness and the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
  6. Step 6: Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning on the grill. Feel free to substitute chicken, shrimp, or tofu for the beef. Serve with steamed rice or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
