- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
- Step 3: Brush the patties lightly with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Step 4: Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Step 5: Cook for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Step 6: During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
- Step 7: Toast the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes if desired.
- Step 8: Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding optional toppings as desired.
Notes
