Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and eggs until creamy. Add vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth to make the frosting.
- Spread cream cheese frosting between layers and over the top and sides of the cooled cake.
- Decorate with pastel-colored frosting, edible floral decorations, and bunny-shaped toppers as desired.
Notes
For a more vibrant look, tint the frosting with pastel food coloring. This cake can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
