- 4 crusty baguette rolls
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 2 cups cooked chicken, sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Slice the baguette rolls in half lengthwise.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of basil pesto on the bottom half of each roll.
- Layer sliced cooked chicken over the pesto.
- Top with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese.
- Place the top half of the roll over the fillings.
- Optional: garnish with fresh basil leaves.
- Serve immediately or wrap for later enjoyment.
Notes
You can use leftover grilled or rotisserie chicken. For a warm sandwich, toast the assembled sandwiches in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes before serving.
