Description
A creamy, indulgent pasta dish with tender shrimp and a silky Alfredo sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss everything together. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce during simmering. Use high-quality Parmesan for the best taste. Adjust garlic and seasoning to your preference.
