  • Total Time: PT45M
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

A creamy, indulgent pasta dish with tender shrimp and a silky Alfredo sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss everything together. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce during simmering. Use high-quality Parmesan for the best taste. Adjust garlic and seasoning to your preference.
