- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Place on a wire rack to set.

You can customize these donuts by adding sprinkles, chopped nuts, or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
