- 4 slices of bread or baguette, sliced
- 4 oz smoked salmon
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 package (8 oz) sliced deli ham or turkey
- 1 cup shredded lettuce or spinach
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or chives)
- 1 package (8 oz) puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi)
- 1 cup assorted cheese cubes (cheddar, brie, gouda)
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare smoked salmon canapés by spreading 1 tbsp of cream cheese on each bread slice, topping with smoked salmon, a few capers, and cucumber slices. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
- Step 2: Make veggie pinwheels by spreading 2 tbsp of cream cheese mixed with herbs on the tortilla, layering with shredded cheese, ham or turkey, lettuce, and grated carrots. Roll tightly, slice into rounds, and serve.
- Step 3: For fruit and cheese platter, arrange assorted cheese cubes and fresh fruit on a serving board for an inviting display.
- Step 4: Prepare puff pastry bites by cutting sheets into squares, topping with cheese and a small dollop of mayonnaise or sour cream, then baking at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Notes
These appetizers can be assembled ahead of time. Keep the canapés and pinwheels refrigerated until ready to serve. Puff pastry bites are best served fresh out of the oven.
