Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 crusty sandwich rolls

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Step 2: Add sliced onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme over the beef.
  3. Step 3: Pour beef broth into the crockpot.
  4. Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Step 5: Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
  6. Step 6: Return shredded beef to the crockpot and keep warm.
  7. Step 7: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Step 8: Place sandwich rolls on a baking sheet, top each with a slice of provolone cheese, and bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
