Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles (fresh or dried)
- 2 cups ragù (meat sauce)
- 2 cups béchamel sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of ragù on the bottom.
- Layer lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread a layer of béchamel over the noodles.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the béchamel.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, prepare the lasagna a day in advance and refrigerate overnight. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
