Description

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles (fresh or dried)
  • 2 cups ragù (meat sauce)
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of ragù on the bottom.
  4. Layer lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  5. Spread a layer of béchamel over the noodles.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the béchamel.
  7. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, prepare the lasagna a day in advance and refrigerate overnight. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
