Instructions
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Step 2: Shape the peanut butter mixture into egg-shaped ovals and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 3: Melt the chocolate chips and vegetable shortening together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Step 4: Dip each chilled peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift out and tap off excess chocolate.
- Step 5: Place the coated eggs back on the parchment-lined sheet and let the chocolate set at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Notes
