Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 pounds)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
